4 New Videos

Just in case our latest newsletter got swallowed-up by spam filters, here’s a quick reminder of our latest news.

New Videos, a New Induction and an Ericksonian classic!

I have uploaded 4 new videos for subscribed users, including a whole new induction never seen in print before. And you can also see my take on a classic Ericksonian technique.

Our latest book has been returned to the editors yet again. So, as a sign of gratitude for your enormous patience, we are really rolling out the treats this month! (My vision and general health continues to improve, so I am hopeful the book will be in your hands before the zombie apocalypse.)

Four New Vidoes

As I am sure you are aware, subscribed users to the site can see video demonstrations of a number of the inductions on our site. Either visit the specific induction page (e.g. the mirror mirror induction), or head on over to the Members section where you can find all of the videos in one place.

That useful page is here: https://howtodoinductions.com/members/demos

Among the new videos, you will see a virtual demonstration of the Mirror mirror induction, as well as a new (virtual) demo of the spectacular Auto wrist-lift.

However, you will also see a link to the Clench induction, which is so brand new it doesn't even have a write-up on the site yet! The Clench induction was originally developed for self-hypnosis, but as you will see in the demo it can be easily transformed into a standard induction.

Our Take on an Ericksonian Classic

The Miracle Question is a familiar feature of contemporary therapy. It was originally developed as part of Solution-Focused Brief Therapy and was inspired by the work of Milton Erickson. The specific technique that inspired the Miracle Question was a simple technique of Erickson’s that Steve de Shazer called ‘the Crystal Ball technique.’

In an attempt to demonstrate how flexible you can be in applying the work of Erickson to your hypnosis and therapy practice, I developed the Magic Photo Album. It was initially meant as a light-hearted and simple technique for my students to play around with. However, over time it has proven itself to be a powerful therapeutic tool, as well as a handy doorway (a.k.a. ‘induction’) into a hypnotic experience.
