Observant users of our site may have noticed that we have added two new inductions to the site this month.
Both inductions are straightforward and fairly easy to use. They are both relaxation-based, but don’t let that put you off if you are not a fan of Progressive Muscle Relaxation inductions. There is nothing long-winded about these inductions and both have more of a interactive feel to them than a typical PMR.
Tension Observation
The Tension Observation induction invites clients to pay attention to a small area of tension in their body. This is then increased, before you decrease it and subsequently emphasise the feeling of relaxation. Think of it as having a volume control with which you can turn your client’s tension and relaxation up and down.
The Clench
This is the first time that a transcript of the Clench – which did not appear in How to do Hypnosis – has been released. This induction operates like a very stream-lined version of a PMR, with only the fist used to create tension and then let it go.
Whilst the Clench can feel gentle and no more technical than the average PMR, it actually provides the opportunity to elicit eye closure and catalepsy of the hand.
Registered users of the site can view a virtual demonstration of the Clench below.
Check out the latest inductions, play around with them and let us know how you get on.
